Kistler not seen Vicon digital device

To correct the issue with Nexus not being able to find Kistler plates in digital devices please follow these steps:

  1. Use Nexus 2.16
  2. Delete vdd and config file from their folder (folder locations are described in the attached guideline document and also mentioned in the following steps)
  3. Uninstall all versions of Kistler Dataserver
  4. Download the latest (not yet officially published) version of Dataserver and install the 32 bit and the 64 bit version ((**you need to unzip and run the installer in each of the 32 and 64 bit files))
  5. Open Bioware and save (C:\Kistler\BioWare\XML) a new config file which includes all plates and their sensitivities. It’s important to not define a plate orientation in this step.(( ***Hopefully the plates are already here and have not been wiped, as stated above. You will be able to see them under the hardware list of active devices when you select the hammer and spanner icon in the top banner for Bioware))
  6. Download the latest (not yet officially published) version of our vdd file and place it in the correct Vicon folder (C:\Users\Public\Documents\Vicon\Nexus2.x\DigitalDevices64)
  7. Start Nexus and select the right GPO file for the right socket and set clock and sync settings for each plate according to the attached manual. (This should be already correct since you seem to be able to record force data in Nexus)
